Guy Vander Linden
Was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He is a 1970 graduate of the University of Iowa and holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California. Guy is a graduate of the Marine Corps' Command and Staff College, and the National War College and went on to gain the rank of Brigadier General with the Marines. Guy is the proud father of a son and two beautiful daughters.
Highlights of his military career include serving as a Presidential Helicopter Command Pilot during the Reagan Presidency, command of a Marine Helicopter Squadron in the first Gulf War, and command of the Naval Aviation Depot, Cherry Point, North Carolina.
After retiring from the Marine Corps, Guy served as Vice President at Agusta Westland, Inc. and for the Defense Division of Rolls-Royce North America.
Since returning to Iowa, he has served in various volunteer capacities for organizations including Habitat for Humanity, the YMCA, and Trees Forever.
